Do you work with my insurance company? Yes! We work with ALL insurance companies. We can work directly with your insurance company from start to finish of your claim. We want to make the process as stress free as possible.
The insurance quote that my insurance company seems low to me and I know there is more damage that is not included on my estimate. What do I do? This happens most of the time. The answer is you do not need to do anything. Just supply the body shop of your choice with a copy of the initial insurance estimate when you drop the vehicle off. The body shop will handle all of the additional/hidden damages and parts price differences with your insurance company. This is called a supplement.
Are your Estimates free? Unfortunately, No. People frequently abuse this service; therefore our estimates are $20.00. Which if you choose to use us for your repair the $20.00 will go towards your repair.
Do you do all over paint jobs? We do not currently do any all over paint jobs. An all over paint job is very time consuming and expensive if done correctly.
Does training really matter if my shop is experienced? Yes. Cars have become increasingly complex and technology in different makes and models changes faster than ever before. Procedures can even change significantly from one model year to the next. Current training is essential for proper, safe repairs
Do I need an appointment to get an estimate? Appointments are preferred. We do allow walk-ins as long as the estimator is available. We are open 7:30am-4:45pm for estimates Mon-Thur. lunch is from 11:30-12:30.
How long will my estimate take? Depending on the amount of damage most estimates take anywhere from 15-20 minutes to prepare. If you are running short on time we would be happy to send you an emailed copy when your estimate is completed.
Do you give estimates over the phone? It really is impossible to give an accurate estimate over the phone. There are so many different factors in a collision repair to be taken into consideration, such as options offered on that year/make/model. Also every repair can be different. For this reason we must see the vehicle to give an accurate estimate.
What if I have a problem with my repairs? Here at Spartanburg Collision we warranty all of our Repairs and Paint for as long as you own your vehicle.
What is your paint process? When your car comes into be repaired we take everything off of your vehicle. This process is called "de-trimming". During this phase of your repair our technicians will remove any trim that your repair requires including but not limited to belt moldings, door handles, interior trim panels etc. This allow us to sand underneath the edges everywhere to make sure the paint gets good adhesion, this also allows us to warranty all of our paint jobs. You will see this on your estimate as R&I.
